Kyle's Birthday

My baby boy is 3 years old!

Kyle had a great birthday. We went swimming, came home, ate cake, opened presents, and broke a pinata (Thanks uncle Brett). Kyle is so cute, He has been talking about his birthday for a little while now, and he would say "my birthday cake is comin' up." He wouldn't say birthday without adding "cake" onto it.

We love Kyle, he adds so much to our family. He is our easy-going, mellow kid that is super shy. He is not like his siblings in this way. He has been our easiest kid thus far. He is great at entertaining himself. He was my little buddy in preschool last year and he will be in my preschool class again in the fall, finally with kids his age. I love his blonde hair and his beautiful blue eyes. He is such a great blessing and we are glad he is a part of our family. Happy Birthday kiddo!

9 Years

Brandon and I have now been married for 9 years. Wow! Time sure does fly. I can't believe how many adventures and experiences we have had in our 9 years together. Life is good and I can't image my life any other way. I feel so blessed to have my husband and our 4 kids. I look forward to many more years of good times and adventures with my sweetheart.

Here are 9 great memories from the last 9 years.

1. Being married in the Manti Temple and our honeymoon cruise.
2. Living in our first apartment together in Provo.
3. Traveling through Canada with my parents.
4. Getting a job with Flowell Electric and moving to Fillmore.
5. Building our house in Fillmore. (Maybe this isn't the best memory, but it's still a memory)
6. Our trip to Maui
7. The birth of our 4 children.
8. All of our camping trips.
9. Living with my best friend for the past 9 years.

Golf Camp

I just had to add this cute photo of Callie and Colby.

Last week Colby went to golf camp at the golf course here in our little town. He absolutely loved it! He was the youngest one there. Everyday he would wake up and quickly get ready, so he could get to the course early. He learned a lot while he was there. Friday they had some kind of a golf competition (They didn't actually golf all nine holes) and Colby ended up winning second place. He got a trophy and he was pretty excited. I've decided that I really like golf and I hope that Colby will continue to like it and be good at it. Mom likes the non-contact sports!

The tale of two kittens

Kitty #2
Kitty #1

Paige has wanted a kitten for about two years. We haven't had great luck keeping cats at our house. I finally gave in and let her get a kitten from our friend, Sally. Paige loved that little kitty. It was a sweet kitten. About 6 days after bringing that kitty home, Paige found it dead on our back porch. That was very traumatic for Paige and me. Lucky for us, Sally had another kitten that looked exactly the same. I didn't think that they would trust us with another kitten, but they did. We have managed to keep this kitty alive and it actually stays on the back porch. We learned that we have to lock the kitty in a cage at night, so that tom cats and coyotes won't hurt her. Paige named both of the kittens Lacey. This is a very loved cat.

Sleeping Cowboy

A couple of weeks ago I went to check on Kyle during his nap and this is what I found in his crib. A sweet little sleeping cowboy. I don't know how he got that hat in his crib. A few days later Brandon traded Kyle a toy gun for all of his binkis. He cried a little bit that night for a binki, but Brandon reminded him of the trade. Kyle really hasn't asked for a binki since. Wow! didn't know it would be so easy. Maybe I should get Brandon to potty train him too! I love this little boy!
