Spring Break

We didn't plan anything for the kids spring break, so the last day of their break, Brandon took the day off work and we headed west for a little adventure.  Our first stop was The Great Stone Face.  We all thought that it was pretty cool. Brandon climbed to the top so that I could get a picture.

Next we just drove to different rock hounding spots and did a little bit of hiking.  We also saw several old mines.  The kids loved it, but thought the old mines were a little scary.

We had a great day! The kids absolutely loved it.  I couldn't believe how much that old desert has to offer. We will definitely be going on more adventures out there.
